Intern, DevOps Engineer (Medical Device)

Location: Onsite in San Diego, California, United States. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Ability to travel to San Diego for onsite work is required.

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary range.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

• Assist with setting up and automating CI/CD pipelines for product applications and cloud-based services.
• Develop scripts to automate manual tasks and improve engineering processes.
• Help manage critical engineering applications and infrastructure in collaboration with IT.
• Support the evaluation and introduction of tools for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to software quality activities, including code analysis, code coverage, defect tracking, configuration management, and software tool validation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Experience working in a command-line environment such as Linux, Ubuntu, or macOS.
• Experience programming with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Experience working with software development teams.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Linux or Ubuntu system administration experience.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, or Confluence.
• Experience with REST APIs, Android or iOS development, AWS services, or AWS CLI.
