What you will do

• Source and manage manufacturers in China specializing in custom mechanical components, PCB production, and electronic devices.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, tooling costs, and master supply agreements to optimize costs.
• Translate technical requirements between internal engineering teams and factory technicians.
• Review blueprints, 3D CAD models, BOMs, and technical specifications with manufacturers.
• Audit manufacturing processes and coordinate prototype, pilot, and mass production activities.
• Build and track production timelines to prevent bottlenecks and ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Must be based in China with willingness to travel within the country.
• 4+ years of experience in technical sourcing or purchasing within China, with direct manufacturer relationships.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and professional English.
• Deep mechanical expertise (CNC, casting, stamping, welding) and electronics sourcing (PCB/PCBA/SMT).
• Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, and apply GD&T.
• Experience with NPI and ISO 9001 standards.
