What you will do

• Own the end-to-end risk lifecycle for complex merchants, performing comprehensive fraud and credit risk assessments.
• Write SQL queries to extract data, perform root-cause analysis on chargeback spikes, and identify emerging fraud trends.
• Design and maintain real-time risk dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or Sigma to monitor portfolio health.
• Act as a consultative partner to Commercial teams, providing data-backed rationales for risk decisions and educating stakeholders on exposures.
• Systematically identify workflow inefficiencies and collaborate with Engineering to automate manual steps in onboarding.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Merchant Risk, Fraud, or Credit Risk within the Fintech or Payments industry.
• Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to join tables and extract insights independently.
• Technical experience building data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma).
• Strong understanding of credit risk evaluation methodologies, business models, and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex risk decisions to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Location: Based in San Francisco
