Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Gaming)

What you will do

• Design, analyze, document, and test complex mechanical parts and assemblies for gaming products.
• Develop products from front-end design through launch and successful high-volume production.
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost, schedule, reliability, regulatory, safety, manufacturability, and functionality goals.
• Partner with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimize designs for mass production.
• Launch and qualify plastic tooling, including design debugging.
• Resolve mechanical engineering issues and collaborate with worldwide functions throughout product development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development for high-volume consumer electronic products.
• Strong knowledge of plastics, tooling, injection molding, assembly processes, cosmetic finishes, and defect analysis.
• Good 3D modeling and fluent prototyping skills.
• Advanced knowledge of DFMEA, DFMA, PSS, and tolerance analysis.
• Good command of English in writing and speaking, including the ability to prepare presentation files.
• Creative, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.

Nice to have

• CAE experience.
• Experience with metal punch tool structure and design.
• Experience in the injection-molded plastics industry and related consumer electronics.
