What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design of high-voltage battery pack components for commercial and defense aircraft programs.
• Collaborate with CAE, quality, testing, supply chain, manufacturing, integration, and certification stakeholders.
• Build prototypes, support hands-on development, and perform root-cause analysis throughout the design cycle.
• Ensure battery products meet FAA certification requirements.
• Establish battery design standards and best practices while mentoring early-career engineers.
• Develop the battery hardware technology roadmap for future applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in high-voltage battery design for automotive or aerospace applications.
• Strong fundamentals in structural design, materials, heat transfer, and fluids.
• Experience with CAD, preferably NX, tolerance stack analysis, 2D drafting, and GD&T.
• Experience developing parts through prototype and mass-production manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on prototyping and build experience, plus the ability to use calculations and CAE to drive development.
