An aerospace company building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to advance sustainable air mobility.

What you will do

  • Own the integration of the turboshaft into the aircraft, managing all mechanical interfaces.
  • Oversee the correct operation of the turboshaft within its specific operating environment.
  • Manage the integration of fuel, oil, exhaust, thermal, and other critical systems.
  • Define pass criteria and testing conditions for performance verification.
  • Optimize the installation for mass, performance, maintainability, and safety.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
  • 8+ years of experience in complex systems integration.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and its suite of tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Turboshaft system integration and turbogenerator design principles.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink for control logic and propulsion simulation.
  • Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and analysis.
  • Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
  • Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification standards.
