Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at the Long Beach location

Salary: $137,760–$195,552 USD annually

What you will do

• Design vehicle structures from the conceptual phase through product release and manufacturing release.
• Define and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems.
• Improve design processes through simplification and automation.
• Provide technical assistance during integration and testing activities.
• Collaborate daily with technicians, engineers, and managers in an integrated development team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant CAD or design experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and Y14.41 standards.
• Experience with Siemens NX.
• Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.
• Development and configuration management experience with technically complex hardware products.
• Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or automotive design experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering design, analysis, and manufacturing.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
