TL;DR

Program Manager, Aircraft Integration (Aerospace): Managing the program performance and delivery of integrated all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft with an accent on cross-functional coordination between engineering, software, and quality teams. Focus on executing complex development programs, driving program gates (PDR, CDR), and managing technical risks to ensure on-time aircraft delivery.

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Unable to provide work visa sponsorship.

Salary: $172,800 - $216,000

What you will do

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to execute complex aircraft development programs within budget and schedule.
  • Serve as the primary program leader for critical gates and milestones, including CoDR, PDR, CDR, and PRR.
  • Define and drive mission-critical technical and business initiatives to resolve aircraft program issues.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities in partnership with functional leads.
  • Track expenses and manage the Critical Path to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure on-time execution.
  • Report project performance metrics and status updates to senior leadership using Smartsheet and Jira.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in complex HW/SW design, development, test, and production.
  • Proven experience as a program or project manager using industry best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering product development, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and task management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Over 5 years of related experience in aviation engineering disciplines.
  • Direct experience as a program manager for an air vehicle program.
  • Familiarity with ARP4754A and DO-178C standards.
  • Experience with FAA certification processes.
