Salary: $152,100–$190,100 base pay per year

What you will do

  • Contribute to the design and scaling of the Electric Propulsion System production line from concept through high-rate manufacturing.
  • Define production layouts, automation strategies, tooling, equipment, part flow, and ramp-up plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Design, Quality, Facilities, and Manufacturing teams to bring electric motor and propeller systems into production.
  • Develop manufacturing build plans and manufacturing bills of materials for EPS assembly and installation.
  • Specify and validate automation systems, tooling, and test equipment for reliable production.
  • Perform PFMEA, author work instructions, support first-article builds, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, and 5 Whys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in EV, aerospace, or advanced hardware production.
  • Experience building mechanical and electronic assemblies with sophisticated manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with thrust/EPS assembly, inverter production, or rotor/stator/engine production.
  • Knowledge of CAD, PLM, MES, ERP, GD&T, and statistical process control.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Nice to have

  • EV Drive Unit manufacturing experience.
  • Industrial automation experience with PLCs, robotics, or gantries.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, batteries, or electric motors.
  • Knowledge of aircraft conformity or configuration management.
  • Experience with NX and AutoCAD; willingness to travel up to 10%.
