What you will do
- Lead EOL and in-process test development for High Voltage batteries and electric motors, covering performance and safety.
- Design and deploy manufacturing test strategies including hipot, insulation resistance, and electromagnetic performance.
- Specify, validate, and commission production test equipment, managing installation and FAT.
- Program and optimize automated test equipment (ATE), test sequences, and data collection systems.
- Analyze production test data using SPC to identify trends and implement root cause corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, and Quality teams to integrate test stations into production lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience, preferably in EV battery or electric motor production.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage safety and battery/motor manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in test data analysis, SPC, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Experience bringing production test equipment from prototype stage through to mass production.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
Nice to have
- Experience with BMS or motor controller programming and EOL configuration.
- Knowledge of industrial communications (CAN, Ethernet/IP, Modbus) and PLC-based automation.
- Exposure to aerospace manufacturing standards such as AS9100.
- Experience with dynamometer testing, power electronics, or motor control.
