Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD per year, plus equity.

What you will do
- Serve as the Responsible Engineer for propulsion test articles within the integrated engine test team.
- Develop test plans with product owners and execute test campaigns with the Stennis test team.
- Own exploratory operation and evaluation of new and existing test article designs for engine development and certification.
- Write test sequences, review data, write code, perform hands-on work with test articles, design tooling, and operate consoles during hotfire tests.
- Support engine subsystem troubleshooting, product investigations, systems analysis, simulations, and trade studies.
- Contribute to stage testing and flight campaigns, including launch operations, test objectives, and flight concepts of operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
- Applied knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience working collaboratively.
- Ability to lead high-ownership projects to completion on ambitious schedules.
- Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, California, travel approximately 25%, work rotating shifts, and occasionally work weekends.
Nice to have
- Exposure to test operations environments.
- Working knowledge of combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers, or instrumentation.
- Prior aerospace experience, although it is not required.
