What you will do

• Develop and maintain CAD models and drawings to document interfaces between avionics subsystems and the airframe.
• Manage avionics envelope CAD models and keep-out zones for vehicle package studies.
• Track comprehensive mass budgets for all avionics subsystems to identify weight optimization opportunities.
• Conduct trade studies and analyze test data to implement design improvements for thrust unit assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure seamless integration and component qualification.
• Maintain avionics configuration management and track hardware pedigrees and versions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or a related field.
• 2-15 years of experience with system-level integration and interface management.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling (NX preferred), 2D drawings, tolerance analysis, and GD&T.
• Experience generating Bills of Materials (BOM) and managing change control processes.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes including machining, joining methods, and composite manufacturing.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Aerospace development and certification experience.
• Deep understanding of prototype development lifecycles for experimental flight test vehicles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for system separation (flight-critical vs. non-critical).
• Hands-on experience in a prototype environment.
