What you will do

• Develop and mature manufacturing processes for new and legacy production hardware.
• Perform drawing reviews and apply DFMA principles to ensure cost-effective production.
• Design tooling, holding fixtures, and specialized cutting tools for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot and revise manufacturing processes to achieve targeted quality yields and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement activities in the machine shop for complex parts and sub-assemblies.
• Provide technical ownership and support for gear production equipment including hobbers and shapers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or relative engineering discipline or equivalent seasoned experience.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering (10+ years if without a degree).
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, and various grinding techniques.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, GDT, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX and Team Center.
• Knowledge of gear and spline manufacturing and inspection methods.
• Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience with CMM inspection methods.
