What you will do

• Design and develop primary and secondary rocket structures, piece parts, assemblies, and systems from concept through initial release.
• Work with machined metallic components, sheet metal, composites, formed panels, and other flight hardware.
• Integrate design-for-manufacturing decisions with manufacturing engineering and support component fabrication.
• Assess system packaging, resolve interferences, perform tolerance stack analyses, and define gapping, shimming, and fastener strategies.
• Create and release engineering drawings with GD&T as the primary definition.
• Maintain BOM structures, PLM data, and configuration management across multiple vehicle systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with industry-standard CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or SOLIDWORKS.
• Fundamental knowledge of structural strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms.
• Ability to work with large assemblies and navigate large vehicle BOMs.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to lead projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience with NX and Teamcenter PLM.
• 3+ years of experience with GD&T and drafting.
