Senior Professional Surveyor (Land Surveying)

Location: Remote-ME; focused on Northern New England and Maine projects

Salary: $45–$52 per hour

What you will do

• Manage diverse land surveying projects and coordinate staffing, equipment, budgets, contracts, and client relationships.
• Perform conventional survey and GPS computations, error analysis, land records research, and boundary reconnaissance.
• Supervise field crews and make boundary decisions using Colonial Land reconstruction theories.
• Prepare and seal final boundary, subdivision, and site plan surveys, as well as engineering basemaps for civil and structural projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, geologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
• Attend planning board and agency meetings for local Maine projects.

Requirements

• Senior-level professional experience in land surveying, including at least 5 years in Northern New England.
• Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or 20+ years of equivalent experience.
• Massachusetts or Maine professional survey license required; New Hampshire licensure is optional.
• Ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships.
• Strong technical skills and experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a plus.

• New Hampshire survey license.
• Experience with Civil 3D.
