Fabrication Technician (Optical Fabrication)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; onsite role with second-shift and weekend shift options.

Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Perform optical fabrication processes including beveling, blocking, edging, milling, sawing, grinding, polishing, and curve generation.
• Shape simple to medium-difficulty parts using standard fabrication methods and tooling.
• Inspect and clean optical parts and assist with lap pouring when needed.
• Read basic work instructions and prints, calculate dimensions using basic mathematics, and maintain required tolerances.
• Measure parts with calipers, drop gauges, micrometers, comparators, measuring microscopes, and spherometers.

Requirements

• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and prints.
• Ability to work effectively and contribute as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No previous experience required.
