Manual Machinist/Fabrication 2nd and 3rd Shift

Salary: $24.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual lathes, drills, threading equipment, presses, and other fabrication tools.
• Perform threading, cutting, sawing, shearing, abrasive cutting, drilling, grinding, punching, reaming, deburring, and cleaning on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Interpret blueprints, operation travelers, and work instructions to select materials, tools, and methods.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, verniers, machinist squares, and thread or plug gauges.
• Adjust and maintain equipment, organize tooling, and support safe material handling with cranes, dollies, carts, and related equipment.
• Cross-train across machines and processes while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

• Approximately 1–2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines and lathes.
• Working knowledge of basic shop math and machining principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operation travelers, and written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency with measuring and inspection equipment, including tapes, calipers, verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to become certified to operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and carts.
