Technician I- Equipment (Photo and Metrology)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite D Shift night schedule every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:12 a.m.

Hourly pay: $19–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive and basic corrective maintenance on photolithography and metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms, interruptions, and production-impacting issues using structured, data-driven methods.
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns, qualifications, recoveries, inspections, and operational checks.
• Replace, clean, inspect, align, and adjust components, including optical, sensor, vacuum, pneumatic, motion-control, and mechanical parts.
• Document equipment conditions, repairs, replaced parts, follow-up actions, and shift pass-down information.
• Collaborate with equipment and process engineers, manufacturing personnel, and other technicians to reduce downtime and protect wafer quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to learn complex equipment, technical procedures, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently on an overnight D Shift, including overtime, weekends, holidays, or additional hours as required.
• Ability to work in a semiconductor cleanroom, wear required protective equipment, and complete required medical examinations or physicals.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, work around manufacturing equipment, and lift, push, or pull approximately 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, technical training, coursework, or military experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, automation, engineering technology, optics, or a related field.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, photolithography, coat/develop, wafer processing, inspection, or metrology systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, optical, robotic, motion-control, or automated systems.
• Experience with precision equipment, laboratory instruments, microscopes, lasers, cameras, sensors, calibration, schematics, or maintenance instructions.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems or electronic work-order systems.
