What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical development of UAS platforms from concept through production.
• Define system architecture, technical requirements, and aerodynamic design specifications.
• Oversee integration of mechanical interfaces, communication links, and payload systems.
• Drive technical decision-making across aerodynamics, flight controls, autonomy, and sensor teams.
• Manage technical risks, trade studies, and performance optimization for cost and schedule.
• Guide certification and qualification activities for airworthiness and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in unmanned aircraft systems development.
• 5+ years in technical leadership roles with system-level design responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Deep understanding of flight dynamics, guidance, navigation, and control systems.
• Must be able to obtain or hold an active security clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and military airworthiness certification.
• Experience with swarm coordination, collaborative autonomy, or multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with counter-UAS systems and electronic warfare.
