Base pay: $172,000–$216,000 per year

What you will do

• Own ground support equipment for the hybrid aircraft powertrain.
• Define certification, use, testing, and operations for equipment supporting electric and liquid refueling, cooling, maintenance, repair, hydraulics, exhaust, and power management.
• Lead systems engineering for ground support equipment operations, repair, and maintenance.
• Manage the design lifecycle and interface with manufacturing and operational teams.
• Present designs and technical decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in a related scientific or engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground support equipment or complex systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of ground support equipment in aviation.
• Experience with industry-standard engineering tools and methods.
• Systematic problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and write comprehensive technical reports and documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, hybrid automotive powertrains, or aviation ground equipment.
• Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification and airport operations.
• Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification.
