TL;DR

Senior Systems Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and verifying flight control systems for an all-electric eVTOL aircraft with an accent on requirements management, validation, and verification. Focus on ensuring FAA compliance, managing supplier flow-downs, and executing multi-disciplinary integration testing for aircraft certification.

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Unable to provide work visa sponsorship.

Salary: $140,000 – $160,000

What you will do

  • Manage system-level requirements and execute validation and verification activities based on ARP-4754A.
  • Coordinate with other Systems Engineers to optimize integrated system requirements.
  • Support suppliers in the development of lower-level requirement sets.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary integration testing, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  • Execute equipment, system, and aircraft level testing in labs and flight tests.
  • Develop compliance documentation, test procedures, and reports to support FAA certification.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in integrated systems (aerospace preferred).
  • Degree in Electrical, Software, or Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in requirements-based product development including V&V activities.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or Jama.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages and digital bus data.
  • Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Fly-by-Wire systems development, testing, or certification.
  • Familiarity with SAE ARP-4754A or 14 CFR parts 23/25/91/135.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and test results data analysis.
  • Experience with AI tools.
