What you will do

• Develop requirements, design, implement, and verify mechanical, thermal, fluid, and gaseous control systems.
• Build plant models, perform analysis, and design control logic, algorithms, and state machines for actuators.
• Conduct performance assessments like Monte Carlo analysis and develop unit tests for control software.
• Participate in V&V activities including HIL and subsystem test campaigns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across subsystems.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card), refugee, or asylee due to Export Control Regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related control systems field with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience developing embedded control solutions for complex aerospace mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, fluid, and gas systems.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink (including autocoding), classical/modern control design, and analysis techniques.
• Experience with validation/verification: unit testing, system simulation, HIL, or subsystem testing.
• Experience with revision control (Subversion, Git), Python, C/C++, and lean software practices.
• Excellent technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree with 6+ years in mission/safety-critical controls.
• Real-time embedded controls for hydraulic servo-valves and electric motors.
• Modeling with sensors (displacement, pressure, etc.) and actuators.
• Full product lifecycle experience.
• DO-160/178/254 compliance, DOORs, JIRA.
