Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York City, NY or Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Salary: $170,000 – $200,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of engineers to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities for team members.
• Partner with product managers and architects to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
• Promote sound engineering practices and support strong design implementation.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure backlog health.
• Support the adoption of SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering management.
• Proven track record in software development with exposure to TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of architecture patterns including modular design, SOLID, and microservices.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern development practices.
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in New York City or Englewood Cliffs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional environments.

• Experience modernizing legacy systems and integrating with modern platforms.
• Exposure to serverless technologies, distributed systems, or DevOps practices.
• Background in media, entertainment, or digital platforms.
• Understanding of startup or growth-stage environments.
