TL;DR

Engineering Manager (AI): Leading a core product team to rebuild the operating system for service businesses around AI with an accent on engineering quality, team health, and execution. Focus on embedding AI tooling into the development lifecycle, architecting AI-powered productivity systems, and scaling the core platform.

Location: Must be based in or commutable to New York City (NYC) or San Francisco; hybrid environment with required office attendance 3-4 days per week (specifically Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end execution for your team, including delivery, quality bar, and scope trade-offs.
  • Implement AI tooling as a default to accelerate development cycles, improve code quality, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Architect a layer of AI-powered systems and tooling to multiply team output and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design from early strategy through to production.
  • Guide technical direction, surface platform needs, and manage scaling challenges.
  • Mentor and develop engineers while partnering with recruiting to hire high-bar talent.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a software engineering team at a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven track record of using AI to architect, debug, write, and review code to accelerate output.
  • Strong technical judgment for evaluating architectural trade-offs and earning team trust.
  • Experience investing in people's growth and developing engineers.
  • Must be based in or commutable to the NYC headquarters or San Francisco.
