What you will do

• Own the enterprise-wide AI automation and transformation strategy with n8n as the core orchestration platform.
• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient automation solutions to eliminate manual effort and operational friction.
• Design hybrid patterns leveraging n8n/Boomi, APIs, event-driven systems, and AI agents for intelligent decisioning.
• Define governance for AI usage, including model selection, cost controls, prompt management, and data privacy.
• Implement environment strategies (dev/test/prod) and CI/CD pipelines for automation platforms to increase release velocity.
• Operate as a player-coach, mentoring engineers and contractors to raise automation maturity and technical density.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise automation, workflow engineering, or platform architecture.
• Deep hands-on expertise in n8n or Boomi, specifically building AI-enabled workflows and agents.
• Strong understanding of REST, webhooks, OAuth, JWT, and API security.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and AI/ML services such as Bedrock or Azure OpenAI.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLMs and advanced prompt engineering.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks and agent-based systems.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring for AI, focusing on latency, cost, and accuracy.
