What you will do

• Oversee all accounting and financial reporting for 40+ legal entities and approximately 100 properties.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and cash flow projections.
• Establish and manage recurring KPI reporting for accounting, finance, and operational functions.
• Create, document, and manage departmental workflows and SOPs to ensure organizational scalability.
• Drive the transition from manual processes toward an automated, AI-assisted operating model.
• Manage internal accounting staff and coordinate with outside CPAs, tax advisors, and auditors.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Significant experience managing accounting operations for a complex business.
• Proven ability to create and manage SOPs, workflows, and reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and internal controls.
• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Los Angeles.

Nice to have

• Experience with AppFolio.
• CPA license.
• Real estate, property management, or real estate investment accounting experience.
• Experience managing offshore accounting personnel or outsourced support.
• Experience implementing AI tools or technology-enabled accounting processes.
