Salary: $220,000–$275,000 (Base)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the full HR technology ecosystem, including Workday HCM, Payroll, and integrated platforms for recruiting and compensation.
• Lead the full-lifecycle deployment and functional design of Workday HCM and Payroll as the primary implementation owner.
• Develop and maintain the HR Systems roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with business priorities and people strategy.
• Manage system configuration, testing cycles (unit, regression, UAT), and release management.
• Partner with Engineering to design integration architecture and custom development solutions.
• Build foundational reporting and analytics infrastructure to deliver real-time operational insights to leadership.

Requirements

• 15+ years of overall experience, with 7+ years of hands-on experience owning enterprise HR technology platforms.
• Deep expertise in Workday HCM configuration across multiple modules (HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence/Leave).
• Must be based in New York, NY and able to work in-office 4 days per week.
• Strong command of HR data architecture, data privacy laws, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Ability to operate effectively as a solo system owner in a lean, high-growth environment.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, well-documented technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Workday HCM Pro certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Human Resources Information Professional (HRIP) certification.
