TL;DR
Director - People Systems (HR Tech): Designing and evolving the HR technology ecosystem with an accent on Workday HCM implementation, data architecture, and process design. Location: Hybrid (New York, NY) - requires being in the office 4 days per week
Salary: $220,000–$275,000 (Base)

What you will do
- Own and evolve the full HR technology ecosystem, including Workday HCM, Payroll, and integrated platforms for recruiting and compensation.
- Lead the full-lifecycle deployment and functional design of Workday HCM and Payroll as the primary implementation owner.
- Develop and maintain the HR Systems roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with business priorities and people strategy.
- Manage system configuration, testing cycles (unit, regression, UAT), and release management.
- Partner with Engineering to design integration architecture and custom development solutions.
- Build foundational reporting and analytics infrastructure to deliver real-time operational insights to leadership.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall experience, with 7+ years of hands-on experience owning enterprise HR technology platforms.
- Deep expertise in Workday HCM configuration across multiple modules (HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence/Leave).
- Must be based in New York, NY and able to work in-office 4 days per week.
- Strong command of HR data architecture, data privacy laws, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Ability to operate effectively as a solo system owner in a lean, high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, well-documented technical solutions.
Nice to have
- Workday HCM Pro certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Human Resources Information Professional (HRIP) certification.
- Experience working within high-growth environments or the financial services industry.
