Software Engineer, Diagnostics (Automotive)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop a diagnostics tool for core vehicle products and upcoming R&D projects.
• Build a proof of concept for an Android tablet-based diagnostics interface.
• Interface with vehicles and collaborate with the End of Line team.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests for diagnostic functions.
• Validate diagnostic behavior directly on vehicle and hardware platforms.
• Work with cross-functional Service and End of Line organizations on fault troubleshooting and part-exchange strategies.

Requirements

• Automotive software engineering experience with UDS, CAN, and ODX.
• Heavy proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience using UDS over Ethernet, CAN, and LIN for fault reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools such as CANdela Studio or similar tools for creating diagnostic data.
• Experience developing functional and software requirements for model-based and hand-coded implementations.
• Familiarity with safety processes such as ISO 26262 and software architecture standards.

• Experience with Android mobile development.
