Director, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and review of external SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Partner with Legal, Investor Relations, and executive leadership on Form 8-K filings, earnings releases, and capital markets activities.
• Research, interpret, and document complex technical accounting matters under US GAAP.
• Oversee financial reporting and consolidation processes for a multinational organization.
• Establish reporting policies, procedures, and SOX-compliant internal controls while improving reporting systems and disclosures.
• Lead external auditor interactions and build, mentor, and develop the financial reporting team.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• Experience leading 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings for a public company.
• Experience with technical accounting research, capital markets transactions, strategic initiatives, and financial reporting or consolidation systems.
• Strong leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
• Experience working within a publicly traded company.
• Experience with Workiva, Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, or other ERP and consolidation systems.
