Sr Staff Information Systems Engineer

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $136,000–$213,000 USD annually, depending on geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Own identity platforms and joiner, mover, leaver, contractor, privileged-access, and access-review workflows.
• Design and operate AWS-based IT infrastructure, including access patterns, networking, logging, monitoring, and secure operational standards.
• Build and maintain ServiceNow, Okta Workflows, scripting, API, webhook, and event-driven automations across the IT stack.
• Provide technical ownership for ServiceNow architecture, workflows, integrations, reporting, data quality, change management, and audit readiness.
• Establish scalable standards and architecture guardrails, support enterprise AI tools and agent frameworks, and review complex implementations.
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point, participate in on-call support, and assist Security with incident containment, triage, evidence gathering, and recovery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in corporate IT or systems engineering, with ownership of identity, SaaS, endpoint, and/or cloud systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS for internal IT systems and ServiceNow administration.
• Strong scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools, plus REST APIs, JSON, and event-driven workflows.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, shaping architecture, influencing cross-functional decisions, and writing technical documentation.
• Experience with observability or log-management platforms such as Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, hirify.global Search, or similar tools.
• Deep experience with Okta, SSO, lifecycle workflows, access policies, group-based access, and macOS and/or Windows endpoint management.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, or Glean.
• Experience with Okta Workflows, Serval, Zapier, Jamf, Intune, Kolide, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise AI tools, MCP-based integrations, enterprise connectors, and AI workflow guardrails.
• Experience with ITGC, SOX/IT controls, access reviews, or other audit and compliance processes.
