Location: Must live close to one of βs designated IT locations in the United States: New York City, Louisville, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Frisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, or Charlotte.
Salary: $106,900β$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do
- Build and maintain LLM-powered clinical features, including retrieval-augmented generation systems, structured prompt pipelines, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and monitoring processes to measure the accuracy, safety, reliability, and failure modes of AI outputs in production.
- Build Python- or TypeScript-based backend services exposing AI capabilities through REST, GraphQL APIs, and WebSockets.
- Contribute to AI infrastructure design, deployment automation, MLOps tooling, and operational improvements.
- Ensure systems meet HIPAA standards and protect sensitive health information throughout the technology stack.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and the development of engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building production AI/ML systems.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and ML libraries such as Hugging Face, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and custom LLM or agent evaluations.
- Awareness of HIPAA requirements and secure handling of sensitive health data; must be located near a designated U.S. IT location.
Nice to have
- Experience fine-tuning or systematically evaluating foundation models.
- Knowledge of multi-agent architectures, agent orchestration, and sandboxed code execution.
- Exposure to clinical data, EHR systems, FHIR standards, or healthcare AI applications.
- Experience with Next.js, full-stack feature delivery, 0-to-1 product development, or early-stage engineering environments.
- Understanding of enterprise AI governance and responsible AI standards.
