AI Engineer II (AI)

Location: Onsite in Kent, WA; Renton, WA; or Reston, VA, United States

Base pay: $134,961–$188,945.40 per year for VA and WA applicants.

hirify.global develops reusable space vehicles and systems, with this role supporting the Blue Ring multi-mission space mobility platform.

What you will do

• Develop and test multi-agent components for telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, reporting, and operator workflows.
• Build agent integrations, prompt templates, orchestration logic, and human-in-the-loop investigation and remediation workflows.
• Maintain RAG pipelines for document ingestion, embeddings, vector indexing, retrieval, and answer generation.
• Prepare spacecraft telemetry data and support anomaly detection and time-series forecasting model development.
• Deploy and operate containerized AI services using Docker and AWS, including observability, audit trails, and incident response.
• Support automated model retraining, evaluation scripts, and metrics tracking using new flight data and operator feedback.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at the Kent, Renton, or Reston office.
• U.S. citizenship, nationality, permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status is required under export control regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with exposure to AI/ML applications.
• Python proficiency and familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or another AI/ML framework.
• Experience with LLM applications, RAG or agent-based systems, telemetry or time-series data, cloud platforms, Docker, and basic CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Databricks, vector databases, Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Kinesis.
• Knowledge of spacecraft operations, satellite telemetry, aerospace engineering, reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, model compression, or edge deployment.
• Experience with RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, or multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
