What you will do

• Manage electrical and civil projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet standards, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee overall project performance, including scope, quality, and innovation, particularly for high-risk projects.
• Serve as the primary communicator between project management, work groups, and key stakeholders.
• Lead job site walk-downs and coordinate meetings with engineering, construction, and contract management teams.
• Monitor project safety through weekly audits, job briefings, and root cause investigations.
• Manage project costs effectively and develop recovery plans to stay within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or high school diploma with 10+ years of equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 10 years of substation construction experience in the electric power industry.
• Ability to work on-site at client locations in Baltimore, MD.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics.

Nice to have

• Expertise in transmission rebuilds and substation installations.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience coordinating work scope during outage windows and managing multiple contractors.
• In-depth understanding of LOTO procedures and electrical safety tags for distribution equipment.
