What you will do

• Plan and execute system upgrades and installation activities, including hardware modifications and post-installation validation.
• Lead vacuum system maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for advanced sputter deposition equipment.
• Manage reconfiguration projects, preventive maintenance programs, and system readiness for R&D operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and uptime.

Requirements

• Expertise in high/ultra-high vacuum principles, leak detection, and gas flow dynamics.
• Experience with Pirani, cold cathode, and ion gauges, including calibration and data interpretation.
• Strong electrical fundamentals, ability to read schematics, and troubleshoot power supplies and PLC interfaces.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment assembly and maintenance.
• Proven track record in scheduling and executing preventive maintenance.
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of rotary vane, scroll, turbomolecular, and cryogenic pumps.
• Experience with helium leak testing and analysis.
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Working knowledge of sputter deposition processes in R&D or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with automation systems and material transport mechanisms.
