What you will do

  • Own and prioritize multiple product backlogs, ensuring alignment with product vision and business objectives.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the primary liaison between product managers, business stakeholders, and Agile development teams.
  • Collaborate with domain product managers to define sprint goals and manage product releases.
  • Coach other Product Owners on backlog management and Agile best practices.
  • Analyze product metrics to measure success and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work from Raleigh, Jersey City, or New York City (Hybrid).
  • 8-10 years of experience as a Product Owner within the Insurance industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MIRO.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial systems (e.g., DuckCreek, Guidewire, Unqork, or AI-driven platforms).
  • CSPO or SAFe POPM certification is strongly preferred.
