Product Owner (Hybrid) (Insurance)

Location: Saint Paul, MN Campus; hybrid arrangement with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office for associates within a 90-minute commutable distance.

Estimated base pay: $89,000–$164,300 per year, depending on job-related factors and experience.

What you will do

• Lead product vision, strategy, roadmap execution, and delivery for financial management systems and reinsurance capabilities.
• Define product OKRs and monitor business and customer metrics and outcomes.
• Collaborate with business, technology, Employee Benefits Solutions, Enterprise Technology, Securian Business Services, Risk, and Actuarial stakeholders.
• Create and manage Agile artifacts, including product roadmaps, backlogs, and release plans.
• Translate business objectives, product strategies, and customer needs into actionable technology requirements.
• Prioritize sprint backlogs, assess features and costs, resolve conflicts, and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner with demonstrated business value and outcomes.
• Working knowledge of Agile practices, iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, velocity, burn-down metrics, and task definition.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Solid analytical and creative problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, manage multiple issues, and handle stressful situations.
• Strong knowledge of technical concepts and architectural principles for scalable solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with insurance products or employee benefits programs.
• Experience with financial and actuarial data and reporting.
