What you will do

• Design durable components using CAD software meeting load, industrial design, and manufacturability requirements.
• Own the prototype lifecycle of new electromechanical subsystems from initial analysis to hands-on assembly.
• Develop and build custom test fixtures for component and system validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Mechanical, Electrical, and Software teams to integrate designs.
• Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design iterations and test data.

Requirements

• BSME with 5+ years experience, MSME with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Must be based in the US and have current US work authorization.
• Experience in electromechanical system design, including actuators, thermal management, and sensor integration.
• Proficiency in mechanical CAD software (PTC Creo preferred) and creating mechanical drawings with GD&T.
• Practical fabrication experience and a portfolio of completed projects.
• Experience supporting test design, implementation, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Creo/Windchill.
• Understanding of robotics principles, control systems, or mechatronics.
• Familiarity with electric motors, motor controllers, gearboxes, encoders, and bearings.
• Experience designing systems with tight size or weight constraints.
• Basic programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
