What you will do

• Design, analyze, build, test, and fly actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications for remote piloted aircraft.
• Own hardware from initial conception through flight test and certification.
• Lead cross-functional trades and drive performance and design decisions to closure.
• Collaborate with Systems, Avionics, GNC, Software, Manufacturing, and Flight Test teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering infrastructure development.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology.
• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing mechanical systems.
• Mastery of at least one area: Design, Analysis, Manufacturing, Test, or Certification.
• Demonstrated successful project ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with aircraft or safety-critical mechanical systems.
• Understanding of structural analysis and failure modes.
• Experience with CAD, PLM, ERP, and MRP systems.
• Design for manufacturability and volume production.
