What you will do

• Define guidance system capabilities and requirements in collaboration with operations and pilot teams.
• Design guidance system features for integration with flight control systems and pilot displays.
• Implement flight guidance algorithms in simulation and flight software.
• Analyze simulation, lab, and flight test data to refine system behavior.
• Evaluate guidance system performance through hardware-in-loop and flight test cases.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology.
• Must be based in Mountain View, California.
• BS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing guidance or motion planning algorithms for real-time vehicle systems.
• Professional experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining system behavior to end users.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
• Technical expertise in motion planning, control systems, probability theory, or optimization.
• Experience developing software for safety-critical applications.
• Experience with Flight Management System certification.
• Current pilot, instrument, or commercial rating.
