What you will do

• Design, analyze, build, and test actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications for remote-piloted aircraft.
• Own hardware development from initial concept through flight testing and certification.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Systems, Avionics, GNC, Software, and Manufacturing teams.
• Participate in hands-on build, test, and integration of mechanical designs.
• Ensure all designs meet rigorous safety and reliability standards for aviation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology under U.S. law.
• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical systems development.
• Proficiency with current CAD and FEM software packages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Expertise in electromechanical engineering.
• Experience taking designs through FAA certification.
• Background in design for manufacturability and volume production.
• Familiarity with flight or ground testing procedures.
