What you will do
- Manage and assess highway and development-related applications under the Highways Act 1980 and Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide engineering recommendations to ensure compliance with current standards.
- Liaise with Legal Services, developers, and public sector partners regarding highway development schemes.
- Prepare reports, cost estimates, and final accounts for traffic and parking projects.
- Represent the Highway Authority at meetings and conduct site visits as required.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Romford, UK.
- Background in highways, traffic, and parking services.
- Recognised professional engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working with budgets and financial reporting.
