What you will do

• Support the end-to-end project lifecycle from feasibility and design to construction and commissioning.
• Translate project requirements into technical specifications and engineering solutions.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and technical investigations.
• Ensure all activities comply with water industry standards, health & safety legislation, and environmental objectives.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the water sector (clean water, wastewater, or treatment works).
• Strong understanding of water-industry standards, regulations, and project delivery frameworks.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site at treatment works, pumping stations, or regional sites.
• Competency in MS Office and familiarity with project management tools.

Nice to have

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process).
• Experience working with major water utilities or Tier 1 contractors.
• Knowledge of AMP cycles, TOTEX thinking, and asset standards.
• Relevant safety certifications such as CSCS, EUSR, or SMSTS/SSSTS.
• Experience with digital tools like BIM, SCADA, CAD, or modelling software.
