Senior Associate Scientist, Veterinary Technician

Location: Onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300, plus eligibility for a 7.5% performance bonus.

What you will do

• Provide veterinary care for all species used in research and development.
• Perform first-line evaluation of clinical cases and initiate diagnostics and treatments under the direction of a clinical veterinarian.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and animal progress.
• Support preventive medicine, including vaccinations, microbiology, and disease surveillance.
• Provide after-hours, weekend, and holiday clinical coverage.
• Maintain clinical supplies and medicines and arrange clinical equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Associate degree required, with 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on clinical care experience with laboratory animal species.
• Working knowledge of regulations governing the use of animals in research.
• Knowledge of applicable animal welfare, laboratory practice, public health, and accreditation standards.
• Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States by any employer; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• BS or BA degree.
• Certified Veterinary Technician, Registered Veterinary Technician, or Licensed Veterinary Technician certification.
