Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco headquarters, with four days per week spent collaborating in person

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year plus equity

hirify.global builds AI agents for regulated financial services, automating loan servicing, compliance, collections, recovery, insurance claims, and disputes for financial institutions.

What you will do

• Operate and standardize infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Render.
• Bring infrastructure under Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure-as-code system using reusable modules, consistent environments, and drift detection.
• Forecast demand, manage capacity and quotas, and tune autoscaling for real-time voice and AI workloads.
• Build cost attribution, unit-cost metrics, dashboards, budgets, and anomaly alerts, then deliver savings through rightsizing, commitments, cleanup, consolidation, and provider changes.
• Improve platform reliability and observability, lead incident response, and follow through on post-mortems.
• Design secure, auditable infrastructure that supports SOC 2 and customer security requirements while partnering with engineering, product, finance, and leadership.

Requirements

• Production infrastructure experience at meaningful scale on AWS and/or GCP, with comfort operating across cloud providers.
• Experience managing infrastructure as code and bringing manually built environments under consistent control.
• Demonstrated cloud cost savings, including understanding of pricing models, commitments, and data transfer costs.
• Experience planning capacity for spiky or latency-sensitive workloads and tuning production autoscaling.
• Ability to build monitoring and alerting, lead incidents calmly, and design for least privilege, auditability, and safe change management.
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain cost and reliability trade-offs to engineering, finance, and leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time voice, telephony, WebRTC, or streaming systems.
• Experience running GPU or LLM inference workloads or managing hosted AI API spend.
• FinOps practice or certification experience, or experience in regulated financial services.
