What you will do

• Define and communicate software architecture and technical strategy for complex embedded systems.
• Bridge hardware and software domains by defining clear system interfaces and building blocks.
• Guide teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept and design to production and verification.
• Ensure architectural decisions align with regulatory requirements, performance constraints, and long-term strategy.
• Coach and support colleagues while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Engage directly with customers to translate stakeholder needs into concrete technical solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the office in Lund, Sweden.
• Extensive experience in Embedded C/C++ development.
• Strong background in system design and architecture for embedded systems, preferably within MedTech.
• Deep understanding of IEC 62304 and other safety-critical regulatory standards.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and/or Embedded Linux.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with connectivity standards like Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, or LTE.
• Knowledge of security architecture, including secure boot and TLS/SSL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud connectivity protocols like MQTT or REST.
• Background in hardware bring-up and low-level debugging.
