Senior Principal Runtime Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and implement runtime stack features for scalable, high-performance ML training and inference.
• Develop system software, including drivers and kernel support for next-generation silicon.
• Build user-space libraries that maximize hardware performance and utilization.
• Develop tools for DataScale systems, including analysis, job and hardware management, profiling, and debugging.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ML Application, Compiler, and DevOps teams.
• Build, test, and deploy distributed compute systems for AI and scientific applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with user-space libraries, operating systems, and kernel drivers.
• Experience with highly concurrent and distributed systems, with a focus on performance and scalability.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCIe, InfiniBand, RoCE, or other fabric technologies.
• Experience with fast networking stacks such as RDMA.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to support colleagues.
