Associate/Engagement Manager – Financial Services

Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients. Applicants must have appropriate approval to work in Australia.

What you will do

• Advise leading banks, insurers, investors, capital markets organizations, central banks, and finance ministries on complex strategic and regulatory issues.
• Break down complex problems into discrete tasks and direct junior consultants toward key issues.
• Plan and execute sophisticated analyses, identify trends, and develop clear recommendations.
• Work alongside clients and project teams to move engagements forward.
• Manage small teams and provide subject-matter insight in financial services.
• Travel as required for client and project work.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of relevant financial services experience, ideally in top-tier strategy consulting, an industry strategy department, or in-house consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and recommendation-development skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative, creativity, and the ability to identify key issues in complex data and business challenges.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.
