Security Consultant (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and deliver security and communications solutions for complex infrastructure projects from concept design through construction and commissioning.
• Deliver projects across defence, transport, maritime, energy, and water sectors.
• Design integrated systems including CCTV, electronic access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, and associated ICT infrastructure.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop practical technical solutions and support project delivery.
• Contribute to technical assurance, compliance, industry best practice, and stakeholder relationships.
• Support the growth of the National Security Practice through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Degree or formal qualification in Protective Security, Counter Terrorism, Security and Intelligence, Telecommunications Engineering, Security Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering security and communications projects across government, infrastructure, or commercial sectors.
• Experience delivering complex security and communications solutions while meeting scope, program, and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of security management systems, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and telecommunications networks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach to project delivery.
• Current Security Consultant/Adviser Licence (NSW Class 2A) or equivalent, or the ability to obtain one upon commencement.

Nice to have

• SCEC Endorsed Security Zone Consultant accreditation or ASIS PSP certification.
• Experience working in Defence or Commonwealth environments and familiarity with PSPF and ISM frameworks.
• Experience delivering integrated physical and electronic security solutions on major projects.
