What you will do

• Lead and develop a small team of mechanical engineers supporting product design and electromechanical assembly.
• Act as a working manager by performing hands-on mechanical design and engineering.
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) across injection molded, sheet metal, machined, and cast components.
• Develop should-cost models and partner with supply chain and non-franchised buyers to support supplier negotiations.
• Apply industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to support in-house production line development.
• Support electromechanical integration, prototyping, and production troubleshooting, ensuring disciplined PLM use, revision control, and engineering change management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong hands-on mechanical design background.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
• Experience working with suppliers, sourcing, and cost optimization.
• Working knowledge of PLM systems, revision control, and change control processes.
