What you will do

  • Lead and implement a partnerships strategy aligned with the overall business vision.
  • Own and manage the most strategically important partnership opportunities in the Americas, including executive-level relationships.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and provide recommendations to executive management to keep Airwallex a partner-of-choice.
  • Coordinate due diligence and project-manage internal stakeholders across commercial, product, and systems assessment.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Americas partnerships organization and ensure strategic initiatives execute against regional objectives.
  • Act as an industry expert by building relationships with potential partners and key decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, product, or related roles.
  • Proven track record managing a lean, high-performing team across different time zones.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage complex dynamics and motivations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, global environment across teams and time zones.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Prior fintech and payments experience.
  • Strong understanding of the global financial ecosystem, embedded finance, and enterprise globalization.
